TapeACall Pro: Call Recorder App Reviews

First off. Great App. Does what it says. The price dropped from $11.99 to $5.79 on August 6th, so I grabbed it. I wanted more info awhile back when I first became interested in the App, so I emailed Customer Support. Twice. No reply either time. All App Developers Ive dealt with in the past have always got back to me with answers, but they didnt. They should lose two stars for that, as Customer Service is key for me, but thatd fail the App. Loses another star because I find the price to perhaps be somewhat misleading? They say on the App Page that its a one time fee with no monthly or per-minute fees unlike their competitors, but when you click on their website to compare prices, it says that it costs $9.99 (US Funds? Which they originally charged Canadians $11.99), PER YEAR!? They conveniently left that part out in the App Description in the Canada App Store. I guess well find out next August 6th. They lose another star for that misleading statement. I do NOT want to pay yearly, so they shouldve made that clear, instead of being sneaky about it! Anyway, this is one of the best Call Recording Apps that Ive tried. You have the option to turn ON or OFF the Beep that occurs every 30 seconds (quite loudly!), so dont worry about that! The same goes for the Lite Version. I dont know why anyone would want the Beep Turned to ON anyway?? Easy to use. Get it ONLY when On Sale, & look at & Sign up for AppSlicedAlerts online or the App, and follow their recommendations for buying this or any other paying Apps!

Perfect app. User friendly but long to merge the call.

I use this app to record interviews. It generally works well. I guess the developers had to find a way to record phone calls on the iPhone considering there is no built in feature that allows this. I think the way it goes about this is pretty smart -- they merge the calls with their server in your local area then you download it. Its pretty seamless unless you are on an active call -- it pauses the call while you activate the app. I can see how this could be annoying to some but it works fine for me. Recording clarity is good -- but as usual it depends on the LTE cell reception in your area. I recommend this app for professionals like journalists and researchers. I wish it was under $10 Canadian though.

I need it to work with my Textnow app. Textnow allows 2 way calling but I tried the app and its not playing the sound I recorded but yet I know for sure I merged the call

It does what it is supposed to. But look. Its design is kind of ugly. And it is not optimized yet for iPhone 6 and later. I understand keeping all those servers around the world is costly, and thats why paying 10$ for it isnt that bad. But please make it beautiful.

I use this app for all important meetings and client calls. Any beeps at the beginning or after the call are not an issue to me since I always disclose that in recording the call for note taking purposes.

It is helping me learn how to streamline and perfect my pitch by being able to refer to prior conversations. Money well spent!

Simply the best professional application for call recording.

There are several apps out there some work well some dont. I was using Record Phone - Pro previously and it simply stopped working. Highly commend this one.

I just dont understand what these 5-star reviews are about. Quite frankly this seems staged. Hey Epic, why dont you just disclose up front that all calls are uploaded and saved on your server for a year (ample time for the NSA and other hackers to backup the whole thing), that you hijack my phone settings, gain access to my contacts - tell me, what else are you *not* disclosing... Thanks but no thanks. Full refund please.
