Near-perfect solution
Its too bad Apple doesnt let me record a cellphone call natively but this app solves the problem.
What really puts it over the top is you pay once, use as much as you want. Granted that presumes this company remains in business to keep their lines and servers working, but Im thrilled to have used this product for a couple years with zero issues.
Beeps in the background can be turned off! Anyone who left a review stating otherwise is incorrect.
About the only thing I would like to see improved is the ability to change the file format outputted. To get this into my preferred transcribing app on my phone I need to export to Dropbox, use a file converter app to make it an M4A, then save back to Dropbox and finally import into my transcribing app.
And of course even though links are randomly generated, they are not completely private so that is the risk you take. Fortunately you can delete the link after youve downloaded the file and backed it up which does help.
I tell all of my journalist friends about this app. It is a great help as I no longer have to be near a land line to record an interview.
