TapeACall Pro: Call Recorder App Reviews

Im still in disbelief that theres an always visible ad after purchasing the pro version. Even an option in the preferences to just turn off the ad would be amazing. It works better than most tape a call apps. One feature Id really like to see is a notification that asks if you want to record a the call based on a particular caller or #. Even though Ive shut off the beeping in the preferences its still doing it all my calls, not sure if thats a bug or if I just need to quit and restart the app.

Im going through a nasty divorce and this is the perfect tool! Thanks for the quality product. Being able to upload the mp3s is perfect and exactly what I need!

The Merge button never activated so I cannot record at all

Im in sales and I use this app daily to record my calls and role play sessions. Very simple and easy to use. Ive noticed a few glitches over the past few months that could use improvement, hence the 4 stars. Ive had sessions just not record (or the file is corrupt and theres no playback). Ive also had my call session ended abruptly, due to the app. These are few and far between, and may have been fixed through recent updates. All in all, a solid app for recording your calls! I love it!

Anyone with ADHD should have this tool. During phone conversations I half listen and half take notes. Just the way my brain is wired. I end up with incomplete phone numbers and words scribbled all over my paper. Now I never miss a single detail with the ability to record and play back conversations for clarification, or maybe a forgotten name. And sometimes its simply not convenient to jot down notes. Problem solved! Im a power user and I can tell you the app is reliable, and very easy to use on the fly. The process in no way interferes with the quality of the connection, which makes it a pleasure to use.

Great for recording a and you can easily share with others. Important for keeping track of difficult family situations and sharing conversations.

Just simply awful all around

Simple to use. Can send files to message or email. And ability to playback at various speeds. Highly recommend this

For the type of work I do I have to be able to record. This app gives me the ability to label my convos as well as upload to my various cloud storages!!!

Completely unreliable. Dont think you are getting the best recorder just because its the most expensive. My recordings have been stuck in processing for over a day and their response is to be patient. I dont record calls so I can access them some unknown time in the future, I record calls so I can use them for stories on a tight deadline. Not sure where all the positive reviews come from. Also wont offer a refund for a product that doesnt work.

Open the app, then add the call, merge them, and then the person on the other end cant hear them. Ever. It used to work, now it doesnt at all. Would be nice if it could be better than garbage again.

I used this to get some interviews for a podcast I am starting. Very painless. Seems strange to me that I need to record via another line but it seems this is the only way to do it on an iPhone. I love how simple it is to share/download the recording to Dropbox.

Pure crap! Does not work. The rare times it says it records and alerts you when trying to listen to the recording it gives an error stating it detected no conversation. No customer support available and frankly just poorly written code. Don’t waste your money.

I purchased the pro-version. I live in a state where only one person on the call needs to be aware of the recording, and this app has saved me money and my reputation several times. Unfortunately liars exist, but they cant deny their own voice speaking the truth, or making a verbal agreement. I am very grateful to have this app. And making the conference call is easy. I usually call the recording line first then call, or conference in, the party I will be speaking too. Or simply ask them to hold while I call the recording line. Asking someone to hold immediately after answering the phone is natural because they expect you were in the middle of something.

I would appreciate a voice filter to change your voice and or an ability to auto merge the calls as that can be a bit cumbersome when trying to use this app. Also a record of the number recorded auto-tagged in the file name and or contact name via the contacts already in your iphone contacts. Please also consider allowing a user to answer the call by opening the app but the caller only hears ringing on their end.
